MHA Keystone Center PSO safe table focused on transitions of care in small and rural communities
will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the William H. Kitti Education Center, Kalkaska. The safe table will occur in conjunction with the Michigan Critical Access Hospital Quality Network quarterly meeting.
June 4

MHA Keystone Center PSO: Peer Support in Healthcare webinar
will take place from 10 to 11 a.m.
The webinar will review the serious problem of burnout among healthcare staff, how it is affecting patient care, and how to combat the growing epidemic through peer support and cultural change.

MHA Keystone Center PSO safe table focused on obstetrical adverse events
will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at the Grand Valley University -- L.V. Eberhard Center, Grand Rapids.

to its members at a heavily discounted rate. Join us at the MHA Headquarters as we explore the core concepts that will become the foundation for your Just Culture.
Upon completion of the course, leaders will return to their organizations armed to make an immediate impact on improving reductions, reducing adverse events, and fostering a culture of curiosity, shared learning and accountability.

The MHA Keystone Center PSO recently launched a six-part micro-webinar series, "MHA Keystone Center PSO 101." The micro-webinars will provide high-level introductions to specific PSO concepts and help identify ways to gain the most value from your MHA Keystone Center PSO membership. New recordings will be posted to the PSO Community on a weekly basis to form a growing library of introductory resources.
The first installment, "
What is a PSO?
" provides a brief history of how a PSO derives its legal protections, the role of a PSO in patient safety and specific offerings of the MHA Keystone Center PSO.
The second webinar in the series, "
PSO Community
" provides information on how to navigate the MHA Community site, and where PSO resources, documents, recordings and information are securely stored within the Keystone Center Safety Initiatives page.
The Medication Disposal Tool provides education on how to properly and safely dispose of expired, unused or unwanted drugs.
MHA members are invited to
order
the Medication Disposal Tool to utilize and disseminate within their health system and community.
Orders may be placed in increments of 250, with the first 1,500 copies provided at no charge. Additional quantities over 1,500 may be purchased from the MHA Keystone Center.
